Michael Wessberg is the younger brother of Angela Tozour. He was the only son in the Wessberg household. He grew up in the midst of three sisters living in a travel trailer! His dad, Lars Wessberg, taught him much about ministry and life on the road. His mother Phyllis schooled him in academics and in the art of children’s ministry.

Michael went to Pensacola Christian College to earn a degree in youth ministries. It was there that he met Candace Stephens, who grew up in West Columbia, South Carolina. Candace earned a degree in elementary education. Michael and she were married on July 31, 1999.

For the next five years the couple served in two different churches as youth pastor and Christian school teacher. In January 2005, the Wessbergs joined the Tozour Evangelistic Team to start a children’s ministry and assist in music with Rich and Angela. They also joined Eagle Heights Baptist Church.

The Wessbergs have three children: Zachariah (born October 13, 2005), Andrew (August 3, 2007), and Chloe (October 14, 2008).
